Let me just tell you, perfume shopping can be very pretty stressful. I went today because I always seem to be running out of perfume, and I definitely spent at least 45 minutes smelling and trying to decide on just one scent that I definitely wanted to have and wear a lot. I learned a lot too - did you know that you should smell coffee beans in between sniffing different perfumes because the smell of the beans cancels out the first smell so it doesn’t interfere with the next one?

In the end I was so torn between “Fancy Love” by J. Simps and “Heat” by Beyonce, but I decided that I just really don’t have enough sass to be able to wear a spicy, musky perfume like Heat. I guess you could say I chose the safe option because I used to wear Fancy Love last year buttttt at least I know what I like and I’m consistent right? Also, the girls at the counter told me it reminded her of the classic Burberry perfume and that made me feel a lot classier for buying a celebrity made fragrance. Hopefully other people will think so too…
Here’s the breakdown of smells in Fancy Love if anyone is interested:
goji leaf, peach blossom, bergamot (What??? It sounds like some sort of wine to me), blush champagne(of course I love it cause it contains alchy/champagne), lotus blossom, peony, plumeria, jasmine, rose, creamy amber, blonde woods, musk and patchouli.
